Born of a spin-out of the University of St Andrews and the Ninewells Hospital and Medical School, LUSTRE® Skin was created in 2004 under the name of Ambicare Health. Our first product launched was called Ambulight and used breakthrough technology based on LED therapy for the treatment of non-melanoma skin cancer in hospitals.

Knowing we had ground-breaking and clinically proven technology that worked in hospitals, we set to launch the first-ever wireless LED device to treat acne, with a fast and effective 20 min session for at-home use.
In 2019, SOLO was born. Since then, this hands-free blue light miracle has been clearing stubborn acne for good, helping thousands of people reclaim their skin and their confidence.
